The
FleetView–VM software is designed to be used in conjunction
with the Innovonics range of data recorders, including the
VM-40 and
VM-12. The software provides the
ability to download the data from the CompactFlash storage
medium of the data logger. FleetView is capable of downloading,
archiving, displaying and saving a maximum of 40 digital
inputs, 16 analogue inputs, 4 miscellaneous inputs (such
as Distance Traveled), time-stamp and GPS data, for each
sample.
FleetView
is responsible for managing the flash card storage media,
downloading the data, processing and displaying the data
and archiving data records. It provides functions to reopen
old projects for review and to create projects from sub-sections
of data.
The
CompactFlash can be downloaded on any machine with a reader,
however a more powerful machine is required for processing
and displaying the large volumes of data.
The
data can be graphically displayed and send to a printer.

The
VM-40 Service Application (ServiceApp) utility communicates
with the data-logger via the Logger’s RS-232 serial
communications port. It allows real-time viewing of the
data collected by the logger to assist in maintenance and
commissioning, viewing of the configuration information
stored within the data-logger and also provides a serial
terminal interface to communicate with the Data Logger.
